Jul. 29th, 2002 11:16 amWooHoo! I get 3 additional paid days off! :-)
Dear Faculty and Staff,
Thank you again for your patience and support during the budget crisis
earlier this month. I appreciate all of you who worked during the
furlough to ensure that our students were served and research projects
were not interrupted.
The State of Tennessee and the Tennessee Board of Regents have approved
a plan to provide additional consideration for employees who were
required to work during the furlough period July 1, 2, and 3, 2002.
These employees will be allowed to take "extra time off" (ETO) equal to
the cumulative number of hours actually worked. This additional time
should be used prior to annual leave and no later than June 30, 2003.
Specific instructions for reporting ETO are available at The University
of Memphis web site www.memphis.edu/budgetfaq.html and will be e-mailed
to departmental timekeepers. If you have any questions, please call
678-1555 or e-mail hr@memphis.edu.
I value the work that each of you do and know that with your help and
support, The University of Memphis will achieve its great potential.
Again, thank you for your dedication and commitment to our University.
