yakk0dotorgAccording to this, the TN governor said they'd contact all state employees individually by phone by midday today to inform them of their essential/non-essential status. My phone hasn't rung. What do you wanna bet that it wont?
And I found out from the news last nite that we'll be forced to use vacation days if we aren't allowed to work. Now that seems fair. What if I was saving my days specifically for a trip?
Bah...If Teresa wasn't going to be coming here for school I'd seriously consider moving to St. Louis.

Date: 2002-06-30 11:49 am (UTC)Point #2: You have to use vacation days IF you want to get paid. The whole point is, they can't afford to pay you until they approve the budget. You don't HAVE to use a vacation day... you can always take a day's wages off of your monthly check.
