Moved some furniture in the new apartment today. Unfortunatly i couldn't get my desk out of my bedroom. :( It's kinda broken too, so, I'm gonna disassemble it and leave it at the dumpster. The new search for the ultmate computer desk has begun. This will be in a common area of the apartment, so here's what I'm looking for:

• Under $200


• Metalish look preferred


• I'm looking for a small one due to limited space, but it has to have room for my 15" monitor and enough space for a possible 17" or larger upgrade

So far I have a few interesting pieces:

• This one is nice, but the glass worries me. I'm kinda clumsy ($149)


• This one is my top pic right now. If only it were metal... ($129ish)


• This one is a typical cheap Wal-Mart one, but it looks nice. I worry about the quality though. ($69.96)

Anyone have any other suggestions?

There's good news and bad news. Your favorite so far IS available in different colors (including pewter), but you've got to be willing to spend more for it. It's available right now at bluelight.com (K-mart, I believe):

Actually, now that I don't think about it, it might have been Service Merchandise.. either way, check there too. :-)

What/Where's HH Gregg? I've never heard of it.
And the 15" monitor is only on the desktop I hardly use for myself. My laptop's got a 15" display and it's all I normally use.
