I'm just a clueless guy...
Mar. 17th, 2002 10:14 pmUgh...I seem to get in trouble for the smallest things. I didn't call Teresa this afternoon after saying I'd call her "later" when we talked this morning. I accidently left my phone at my mom's when I went to lunch at her house, and didn't realize it when I was at the Mug because we were busy. When I realized I was at work after the service at the Mug. I never know what to say when she's mad at me, so I only tend to say "I'm sorry" and "I love you." My phone died while we were talking, so we agreed to let it charge and talk an hour later. 30 minutes later I get an e-mail asking to talk online, so I start up my IM client and promptly get knocked offline. So I call again and we talk some about why she got upset at me, and that neither of us can really tell when the other's acting upset but kidding. But still I don't ever know what to say in situations like this, so I don't talk much and still we hang up again for a while.
I honestly don't know what to say or do. I mean, I know I should have called earlier, but she should have also remembered that I help at the Mug every Sunday. We had all sorts of problems tonite and went up to the wire. I also left my phone at my mom's by mistake, so I couldn't call even if I wasn't busy. It's not like I forgot to call because I wanted to call from the Mug, and later I tried to call after the service but couldn't find my phone.
I think she's more upset now about the fact that I said that i'd get in trouble with her for something when she was joking, but like I've told her a million times before...I'm clueless. I do not get hints. If it's not laid out in plain english I do not get it. I know it's a cheap excuse, but I'm not 100% at fault for this. I just couldn't seem to get my side out in words until I sat down to write this. Maybe I'll call back in a few minutes and explain my side to her. We don't have fights often, and I hate feeling like this. I hope it's resolved soon.
