fun weekend

yakk0dotorgHad a pretty good weekend. Friday night we took my dad and stepmom to the Highland Hundred Kickoff Banquet. It's always a lot of fun, and the food was great. I even ate some of the salmon without Teresa forcing me to. :) I'm looking forward to everything about this football season except for the heat. It had better cool down a little before Sept. 1.
I spent a lot of the day Saturday and Sunday working on my new file server at home. I'm blogging about the process here. It's been fairly smooth after I got networking working, but there's a few quirky things that make me think the system might have some hardware issues. Calling Dell support for a computer running Linux is one of my biggest fears.
Sunday morning Teresa and I also visited Germantown Baptist for the first time. My old college minister and his wife have started a new class for married couples and we're checking it out. The first class was pretty good, and hopefully next week we'll also make the worship service.
