I'm just finding out a problem we're having with our antivirus clients at work. It is causing me to reinstall (or upgrade in most cases) the antivirus software. I've been testing a manged install using Active Directory, and figured this was as good of a time as any to take it out of the test phase. What it does is automatically install the software before the user sees the login screen. Then when I need to update the software, I change a single setting and the computers get it on the next reboot.
This will help a lot. I'm working on one now to maintain common software like office and firefox too.
