My bank account got screwed by a "glitch" in the UofM's bursar systems. It's a good thing my direct deposit went through tonight. Last week I had around $600 in there, so I could pay 1/2 my tuition. I paid $475 of my tuition, then Friday night when we were at Target my card didn't work (despite working 20 minutes before. I thought the network was down, but when I checked my account today I discovered I had -$372. The UofM had a problem and double charged some people. Apparently they weren't going to say anything to anyone unless they called and complained about it because when I called, they knew all about it.

They're supposed to be refunding my money and said they would pay any overage fees I'd have, but damn, tell people when you screw up with their bank accounts!

Bleh! They definitely should have let people know about it. Good grief. I'm glad they're going to refund any overdrafts!

Now you work for the school...would you really expect anything different?

We may love it....but they sure are crazy over there.
