the good:
Got my trip to see Teresa approved and I get to see some (hopefully) cool tech while I'm there. In addition to spending Valentines Day with my wonderful girlfriend, I'm also going to visit the University of Missouri at Columbia, who are also the tigers :), on the 15th while Teresa's in class. I'm going to see their labs, their wireless setup, and other goodies. Can't wait.

Anya and I signed the lease on the new apt. today. She moved in today, I move in midle/end of April. Can't wait to get out of here and closer to work/the mug/family.

Been playing with the free version of SnapStream PVS 2.0. If the next version fixes a lot of the bugs and problems with the current one I'd actually consider buying it. The potential of this program would be exactly what I want in my entertainment center media based PC.

The bad:
got the crap scared out of me today by a debt collector. I owe a little over $2000 on my AmEx card and I'm supposed to call him tomorrow to tell him if I'm going to pay him $440 (%20) and $100 for 5 months (to begin payment back) or not. I'm actually leaning towards the not based on advice from two people close to me, but I'm still scared out of my mind.

That's the point of DMCC. When you signed up, they gave you a phone number to refer creditors to. You don't have to deal with them... Call your DMCC rep, and she'll tell you what to do.

Well, apparently I don't have a DMCCC rep...I called and was told that she was just for setting up my account and I had to deal with their customer service now. :(

i can't begin to describe what a headache the move-in has been... just packing everything in a hurry and traveling back and forth incessantly. luckily, allan's roommate didn't mind doing muchos shopping with me, including helping to set up my bed. now all i need is twenty-four hours of sleep and some groceries and being iced-in tomorrow so i can stay at the apartment and not go to work. i called MLGW and the utilities are now in my name. i like the place, i met our upstairs neighbors yesterday, Amber and Tyson, both PhD's at UT Memphis. super.

coolio. I'd like to stop by and see it when you get stuff set up. When it gets closer to april I'll probably want to start moving furnature and stuff in slowly.
