I gots $$$!!!
May. 27th, 2005 09:56 amyay! Payday is finally here! Now I can watch that dwindle as I pay my rent ($629), car (comes out before I see my check), insurance (dunno exactly), Football season ticket renewal ($320), TSF donation ($50), bills (probably whatever else I have).
Bah...I'd like my paycheck to last at least halfway through the month without getting down to double digits. I had $30 in my bank account before my direct deposit came in. It'll be nice when some credit cards start getting finished during the summer. I think I only have 3 or 4 months left on the smallest one.
Week 1 with Teresa gone has been fairly successful. I've been able to survive on my cooking, but haven't gotten any cleaning done. That's my Memorial Day Weekend project. That and cook some more. Food TV is so bad for me. It's really making me want a house so I can make a BBQ pit and learn to smoke some ribs and pork butts.
Today's going to be pretty slow I think. There's a lot of people gone. So I'm gonna eat my pop tart and see if I can get away with playing some Grand Theft Auto or UnrealTournament. hehe...

Date: 2005-05-27 03:04 pm (UTC)All of that is moot now because I've decided to cash in my 401a from the UofM. I'm allowed to do it since I no longer work there. There will be a 20% loss because I'm taking it out early, but I think it is worth it to me at this time. There is enough to pay off ALL of my debt except for my house and my car (even my student loans.) I'm excited about this chance for a fresh start and am determined not to use credit, although I'll keep one card around solely for emergencies (and not OMG I have to have that now emergencies.) :P

Date: 2005-05-27 03:14 pm (UTC)I setup my CC payments a while ago and after this lowest one is paid off, the money I was putting on it goes to the next one, and so on... It's a modified Dave Ramsey plan.
