ARGH!!!

I came home from watching Be Cool with Teresa and my Tivo was on a blue screen because it didn't get a signal. I checked my TW DVR, it's b0rked too. I go to my bedroom and check that TV since it's straight cable to the VCR, and it's out too. I call Time Warner and apparently they're worthless if there's an outage at 11:30 on a Sunday night. I'm so glad I don't have Road Runner or their digital phone service.

Here's the complaint I sent via their online form:

I came home about 30 minutes ago and noticed my TiVo had no signal. I switched over to my Time Warner DVR and it also had no signal, so I checked a TV that's just got the basic cable-ready stations and it was out as well. I then called the TW support number and went through the menu. I tried the automatic signal thing to reset the equipment, then it hung up. That should really have the customer hold on until the problem's solved.

Then I called back and tried to get a real human on the line. I got the message ""General Customer Service" is not available. Leave a message at the tone or press 0 for a customer representative." then when I pressed 0 I was sent back to the main menu. This is NOT acceptable support for the $79.57 I pay as my monthly cable bill. Your website has no hours for support listed. If the phone support is not 24/7, then it should state that. This is not the first time I've called with a problem and was unable to get anyone. For the amount I have paid Time Warner I expect my service to work, and if it doesn't
I expect to be able to contact a real human on the phone to try to resolve the problem or at least set up an appointment for sometime during the day for the problem to be resolved. Being asked to leave a message in the "General Customer Service" mailbox is completely unacceptable to me as a customer.

I don't expect much, but it was good getting that off my chest
