Dec. 10th, 2004 11:36 pmI'm home. I brought the laptop I've been working on home with me to finish. It's an ancient Pentium II laptop that had Windows NT4 on it and this guy at work wants me to put 98 on it. I've successfully converted the partitions from NTFS to FAT32 and 98 is now on it, but getting everything to work requires time, patience, and some Google mojo. I've got until tomorrow morning to finish it and take it to the guy's house before the basketball game. Thankfully that'll mean some more wardriving for me and I'll have another area of the city mapped out.
If you didn't know, wardriving is driving around with a wireless laptop or PDA and a GPS and they work together to mark out the coordinates for any wireless access points they find. I've got a good bit of Midtown mapped. I'll post a map when I'm on the computer with the file.
Here's how tomorrow's shaping up. I deliver the computer to the client in the morning. Then I head to the Tigers/Runts game, then to a birthday party, and finally I'll be able to look at my server at home that was hacked this morning. 1 week until my much needed vacation.
