A funny thing happened last night at the GOLUM meeting (GOLUM is Memphis's Linux users group). A friend and I were presenting on hacks for Linksys 54G routers and we were using my Gentoo laptop to present from. All was going good until he needed to telnet into his router to show some stuff. I never realized that I didn't have telnet installed. I had to use my windows laptop to connect since we didn't have network access at the time.

I don't know if I can take this much more. I was just working with the VP checking a script I did yesterday that will backup his Outlook data files to our server, which is in turn backed up nightly, and when checking the file I didn't see the contacts in it. It was just because I'm using Outlook 2003 and didn't notice that the contacts aren't under the parent folder from the data file like everything else, but under the contacts in a link to "Contacts in <data file name>." So now I'm all stressed out because I looked like a total moron in front of him AGAIN and he's already tried to fire me once. ARGH.

I wonder if there's any job openings coming up... ;)
