I was just informed that I'm now "essential" tomorrow and friday. Yay. even with employee numbers down to around 200 and student numbers down to 0 (classes are out, students have been told not to come to campus) the labs will be open tomorrow and the helpdesk is open to Friday. So I must also be here. I guess I'll find something to do.

I got some Construction "Changable Robot" figures today for $10 at an import store. They're orange Constructicon Transformers knock offs. The quality's pretty sub par, but for $10 I have a bunch of toys similar to ones I broke long ago. :) They'll be going in my growing cube collection. I also saw the Japanese version of the Transformer monalisa816 gave me. I even learned a new feature that isn't featured anywhere in the American packaging or instructions. A piece can come up and form a pincer with the shovel end of the toy. Pretty nifty there. They also had some very bad Voltron knock offs (the colors were on the wrong lions and it was just ugly).
What I really wanted to get was the $129 New Years Convoy. In Japan Optimus Prime is called Convoy, and this was a release last year that had a mouse pad, ActionMaster Prime, Autobot Matrix of Leadership (on a chain to wear as a necklace!) and a TV accurate gun. Alas it was not to be, so I'm happy with my knock-offs. :)
and ooo...it's about to storm. Yay! =)
