May. 2nd, 2004 01:09 amI finally got a coffee grinder! After months and months of looking at different ones I finally got the one I thought was unobtainable. I didn't want a cheapo one because I wanted to grind different coarsenesses without just grinding it longer. I also wanted one that would grind into a second container that'd be easy to dump into my coffee maker. I've seen this one at Kohls and other places for a while and liked it but figured it was way out of my price range. However at Goldsmith's tonight we saw it on sale from $149.99 to $129.99. I had a $100 gift card from my birthday last year that I was wanting to spend, and I also saw that there is a $30 mail in rebate. That pretty much settled it. I got the Metallic Chrome model for $42 and change and will be getting $30 back so I'll have just paid tax. Not bad for a grinder that retails for $179 from the manufacturer!
And since when is making me use my debit/check card as a debit card instead of a Visa "bettering my customer experience?" I use it as a Visa everywhere and don't like entering my ATM code at stores unless it's at an ATM. It just doesn't feel comfortable to me and my credit union prefers we use it as a Visa. Goldsmith's has a new policy though that requires debit cards be used with the PIN now. Guess I won't be going back if I'm not using a gift card now.
