I got an ad in my mail from DirecTVDSL today. Since I checked unsuccessfully for it the other day, I took this as a sign though and checked for DSL availability for the new apartment again. WOOHOO! It's available! The deal is pretty good ($39/month for the first 3 months, $49/month after that, year contract required, no activation fee) and they give you a static IP and let you run servers! Now I gotta sweet talk Anya into going for it (although for that price, I'll likely do it anyways). I want payday to come so bad...

you know... something about DirecTV... maybe that's not what you're talking about, but someone who lives in the same apartment complex said we are not allowed to get that hooked up because of .. something or other, i don't remember. hopefully, it's two different things and i am just mixing it all up in one bowl.

This is just owned by DirecTV, but it's regular DSL through the phone line. You're thinking about their TV and sattelite internet access. Lots of places don't let you install a dish.
