Mar. 16th, 2006 10:59 pmTomorrow's the day of days. (1) Memphis is going to try and hold their own against the mighty Golden Eagles from (16) Oral Roberts. If you believe the media hype, then Memphis (who has an overall record of 30-3, and wins over Gonzaga, Tennessee, UCLA, Alabama, UABx2, and only losses to Duke, Texas, and UAB) has absolutely no hope and shouldn't even show up.
This isn't going to be pretty. Yeah, I'll admit it. Our conference sucks. We played great at the beginning of the year, as you can see from the wins I've mentioned. When conference play we played worse, but the competition was worse, so we still breezed through the conference with only a bump on the road in Birmingham. Then the CUSA tournament came along and we stepped it up big time. The top 3 players kicked it up a knotch (BAM!) and Joey Dorsey started playing like a monster. I don't care who Oral Roberts has beaten, it doesn't really matter. The Tigers are going to beat them and show everyone that this year they are for real. My bracket will be right, 2006 National Champs here we come.
We're having a party at work. I can't wait. Huge screen. Pizza. Tiger Basketball. Life doesn't get much better.
