(no subject)

sigh...woke up to a puddle in my hallway. Thank you Annoying Upstairs Neighbors!!! I'm taking the morning off to clean it up and get my apartment decent for a maintience guy.

If this doesn't exemplify why computer techs hate users I don't know what does. The old VP of IS just called me on my cell (I still have to give him support per some mysteeeerious contract).

Dr.P: Microsoft just sent me the new version of office. I'm installing it and it's asking me wether to do a new install or an upgrade. What do I choose?
Me: [thinking]Since when does MS just send people office?[/thinking]We've been testing Office 2003 and were planning on deploying it after Service Pack 1 due in a couple of months.
Dr.P: [silence as this isn't what he wants to know]
Me: [sigh]In our testing we didn't have any problems with upgrading but I can't say anything about compatibility problems you may have yet.
Dr.P: Thank you!

sigh...my life sucks sometimes. Now he's going to have all these unique problems that I've never seen because I'm just starting to test Office 2003 myself. I'm just dreading this. Back to cleaning...
