So I'm using my Dell laptop (the one I own, not the one the school got me) today and I eject the built in DVD drive to put a CD in. The drive comes out a little like normal when I push the button. I then pull it out further to get it to where the tray is accessable and the thing flops down like a guide is broken. I call Dell since it's still under warranty. The completely moronic inept guy I'm talking to is saying I forced it out and they can't replace it. WHAT THE FRIGGIN HECK?!? I do tech support for a living...ON DELLS! I know how to use a CD Rom drive. Having one that won't go back in and (through me troubleshooting it) has a piece fall out is not due to wear and tear. Someone's gonna get torn a new one after I'm done with this.

ok, so I talked to "John" and then I talked to "um...Jacob" (that's how he announced himself...obviously reading from a script). He tried to put a guilt trip on me and wouldn't say it but was blaming me for the stinking problem. It took me 5 minutes to get him to give me a manager callback. Then "jacob's" manager "Tom" said A "resolution specialist" is now due to call me back since this "isn't a normal problem." CD Trays break EVERY DAY. gah.
